Welcome to Hues of Sienna!
This site combines my visual arts (Color Me Sienna) and my tattoo (Tatted by Sienna) accounts! It's a play on my last name (Huebner) and the fact that "hue" refers to the colors we can see and my first name, that's also a color!
All items on this site have been hand-made by me! I am the child of a lampwork bead maker, so my childhood was filled with different creative endeavors.
Growing up in a rural town in south-west Colorado, nature has really inspired every aspect of my art and creative process. Now, living in South Florida, the nature may be different, but it is no less beautiful and awe inspiring!
Want to get to know me more? Here are some random facts about me:
This is an LGBTQ+ business!
I have been with the absolute best human since 2017, and we got married in 2021.
I get to play dress up!
When I’m not doing art, I sometimes get paid to do burlesque or be a faerie with the Jewel Faeries.
I am a CSU Ram!
I graduated from Colorado State University in 2016 with a degree in Journalism and Media Communication with a minor in International Development Studies. Fun fact: I wrote a lot of articles and did a lot of projects about tattoos in my undergrad.
My mom was my first art teacher!
One of my earliest memories is sitting on the floor with my mom while she used an old, pink eraser to create a drawing. I tried mimicking her art, and was frustrated that mine didn’t look like hers. Later, she would host art club in her house after school for my friends and me. My mom is Margie Huebner and she owns Blue Mountain Magic. Check her out!
I speak Italian
When I was in middle school I was in a play where I had to sing in Italian. I felt the need to understand what I was saying, so learned the lyrics in English and in Italian. In high school I did an independent study in the language, and in college I even studied abroad in Italy. Now, I am no longer fluent, but I still adore the language and get excited to brush up on my skills.
I am an avid reader!
I am reading or listening to an audiobook about 85% of the time. I especially love fantasy, thrillers, and horror books! My first real job was in a library and I even have a partial masters degree in Library and Information Science.
